Hanging Baskets

IMG_9966Walking around our neighbourhood you can’t help but notice the wonderful flower baskets hanging from some of the lamposts. Most people assume that they are provided by Westminster Council, but unfortunately this isn’t the case.

They are actually paid for by the local residents from voluntary donations. HDRA collects donations and adminsters the contract with the gardeners, but you don’t have to be a member of HDRA (or even a resident) to contribute.

Every year in the spring we ask residents to donate a sum (generally about £30) towards the cost of the baskets. If you haven’t received a leaflet through your door and you want to donate, then please email or call any of the HDRA committee members (click here for details) and they can provide you with HDRA’s bank details for BACS payment or can accept cheque or cash.

Your support is very much appreciated.
